JCS Easter Fruit Bun

Question: What is the best way to enjoy the Easter holiday with family and friends?

If you are from Jamaica, your answer likely involves sharing a soft, moist Easter fruit bun with cheese, or simply "bun and cheese."

Real Jamaican Easter fruit bun, sometimes mistaken for fruitcake, is a rich, thick loaf of "sweet bread" baked with a mixture of fruits. Traditionally, Jamaicans and other Caribbean islanders enjoy this treat during Easter time (hence the name "Easter Bun"). It is not uncommon, though, to eat fruit bun throughout the year as part of a snack or light meal.

Easter fruit bun is typically eaten sandwich-style with a thick slice of sharp cheddar cheese in the middle. However, many people enjoy their fruit bun by itself, with butter, with cream cheese, or in many other adventurous combinations!

Kingston-Miami Trading Co. proudly distributes genuine Jamaican Country Style Easter fruit bun (44 oz.) during the Easter season as well as a lighter, spiced fruit bun throughout the year (14 oz. and 28 oz.). All of our fruit buns are baked in Jamaica to guarantee authenticity and taste then air-freighted to our distribution center to ensure freshness.

However you may celebrate it, the staff at KMT would like to wish you a Happy (and safe) Easter holiday!
